Mario Nemirovsky, Ph.D:
Chief Executive Officer and Founder.
Mario is CEO and Founder of Miraveo and also an ICREA Research Professor at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. He pioneered the concept of Massively Multithreading (MMT) and previously pioneered the by now well established Simultaneous Multithreding architecture (SMT). Mario was an adjunct professor at the University of California at Santa Barbara from 1991 to 1998. Prior to Miraveo, Mario founded Consentry, where he was VP, and chief scientist , and XstreamLogic, where he architected its high-performance SMT network processor. Before that, he was a chief architect at National Semiconductor and at Weitek. Mario holds 42 issued and 24 pending patents has co-authored over 20 publications. Mario has received multiple awards and been on the cover pages several technical magazines. Just last year he was named Entrepreneur of the year and also one of the 100 most influential Latinos in the area by the Hispanic Net in San Jose, CA. Jorge García-Vidal, Ph.
D
Chief Technical Officer and Founder.
Jorge is CTO and Founder of Miraveo. Since 2003 he is full professor at the Computer Architecture Department of UPC, where he is head of the Computer Networking Research Group . Jorge has pioneered the cooperative technology used in Miraveo, which allows the creation of robust ad-hoc multihop networks. Prior to his research in ad-hoc networking, he worked in high-speed switch design, software implementation of networking protocols and performance evaluation of computer systems. Jorge has cooperated in advanced technological projects with many companies including Nokia Research Labs at Helsinki, IBM Research at Haifa, EADS, Thales Communications, Telefonica I+D, and Siemens. Jorge graduated as a Telecommunications Engineer in 1988 (UPC, Barcelona) and holds a Ph. D. in Telecommunications (UPC, 1992, Best UPC Telecommunication Thesis Award). During 1992-93 he was a visiting scientist at University of Arizona (M. F. Neuts). He serves as member of the editorial board of Ad-Hoc Networks journal and is member of TC of many major networking conferences.
Sebastian Andreatta:
VP of Business Development and Product Management
Sebastian is a well-rounded technology start up veteran with over twenty five years experience in high tech, telecom, and software management. He was involved early on in managing the first carrier class trials for fiber optic transmission, and later he and his team delivered the first voice over packet multiservice routing platforms (later acquired by Cisco). He has held positions in program and product management, and has extensive experience in product development and carrier product management. Previously, Sebastian has consulted to various technology companies in hardware and software design, development, strategic planning and execution of marketing programs. Early in his carreer he managed several guidance subsystem programs in the aerospace industry, reporting to senior staff in the US Airforce as well as executive management. Sebastian is a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology with a BS in Plasma Physics and has a Juris Doctor from Southwestern Univ. School of Law in Los Angeles.
